Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: JOHN 14:27-31a

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.

God is the creator and there are creatures in the world. Creatures give satisfaction, fulfillment, happiness and complementarily and so on. The only thing that the creatures cannot give is the creator. Creatures are the reminders of creator however that cannot give the creator. Creator is beyond the creation.

When Jesus said that the world cannot give he meant that the world cannot give God. That is the reason that when Jesus speaks of peace he means the presence of God. (The presence of God is in him). Peace is the presence of God. Jesus has come to give to the world God who is peace.

அமைதியை உங்களுக்கு விட்டுச் செல்கிறேன்@ என் அமைதியையே உங்களுக்கு அளிக்கிறேன்.

படைக்கப்பட்ட இவ்வுலகு தறுவது எல்லாமே பொருள் சார்ந்த நிறைவுதான். பொருள் அழியக்கூடியது என்பதால் பொருள் தறுகின்ற கொடைகளும் (பயன்களும்) அழியக்கூடியவையே. ஆனால் இறைவன் (இயேசு) படைக்கப்படாத அழியாத முடிவற்ற ஒன்று என்பதால் அவர் கொடுக்கும் கொடையும் (அமைதியும்) அழிவில்லாதது.

GOSPEL READING: JOHN 14:21-26

And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”

To love Jesus is essential to be in right relationship with God. Loving Jesus is equal to loving the Father. One cannot be worried about saying that he does not love God or does not know the Father etc. Jesus has become the criteria for loving God and being with God and belonging to God.

To love Jesus is to keep and observe the commandments. Jesus has left us with only one commandment. At least that is what he speaks in this context of John chapter 14. It is love. It is commandment of love. It is not rules and regulations and rubrics. That is why following Jesus is called religion of love.

என்மீது அன்பு கொள்பவர்மீது தந்தையும் அன்பு கொள்வார். நானும் அவர் மீது அன்பு கொண்டு அவருக்கு என்னை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன்”.

இயேசுவின் மீது அன்பு கொள்தல் அடித்தளமானது அவசியமானது. இயேசுவின் மீது அன்பு கொள்தல் இருந்தால் அதுவே இயேசுவின் கட்டளைகளை நிறைவு செய்வதாகும். அவரது கட்டளையும் அன்புதான். அவரது வேதமும் அதுவே.
