GOSPEL READING: JOHN 8:51-59
Jews talk about death. Jesus also talks it. When the Jews talk about the death of Abraham and the prophets they mean the physical death: a death which every human will face at one time or other. That will be his final time of reckoning. A death which is the result of sin through Adam. Adam disobeyed God and that resulted him with death and all of the human race faced the same destiny.
Jesus says that whoever keeps his word will not see death. His word is life giving and his word is from the Father and he is the word. Jesus knows the Father and his words reveal this Father to the listeners and those who listen to his word and live by it will return know the father. So they also will not taste death. Word is life giving. (When Adam disobeyed the word he lost the life).

யூதர்கள் இறப்பைப் பற்றி பேசுகிறார்கள். பாவத்தின் பயன்தான் இறப்பு என்று அவர்களுக்கும் தெரியும். யூதர்கள் பேசியது உடலின் (இயற்கை) இறப்பைப் பற்றி. இயேசு வாழ்வுதரும் வார்த்தையைப் பற்றி பேசுகிறார். உலக உடலின் அழிவைப்பற்றி அவர் பேசவில்லை. இயேசு பேசியது தந்தையைப்பற்றியும் தந்தையைப்பற்றிய அறிவைப்பற்றியும் தந்தைசார்ந்த வாழ்வு பற்றிய வாழ்க்கை.
