GOSPEL READING: JOHN 6:1-15
The story begins with Jesus going up the mountain. Usually Jesus goes up to the mountain to pray or to teach his disciples and followers. Mountain was a place of God experience for him and it was also a place of teaching and preaching. After this miracle story he went back again to the mountain.
Feeding of the five thousand men is sandwiched between his movements towards the mountain. Without the movement towards the mountain the miraculous feeding does not have a basis. His link with the Father and his preaching and teaching are inter-related. Miracles are enacted kingdom activity. Jesus came into this world to establish the kingdom through preaching, teaching and action.
இயேசு தனியாய் மலைக்குச் செல்லுதல் ஜெபிப்பதற்காக. இறைஉறவை புதுப்பிக்க அல்லது ஆழப்படுத்த. சீடருடன் மழைக்குச் செல்லுதல் போதிப்பதற்காக. இந்தப் புதுமையில் மலைக்குச் சென்றபிறகுதான் மக்களைச் சந்திக்கிறார். மக்களைச் சந்தித்து புதுமை செய்தபிறகு மீண்டும் மலைக்குச் செல்லுகிறார். மக்கள் உறவுக்கு இறை உறவு துவக்கமும் முடிவுமாக இருக்கிறது.
