Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: MARK 9:41-50

Reward is assured for anyone who does even a little act of mercy to others. This assurance is given to all those who do something because he belongs to Jesus. Jesus sees himself to be present in everyone and everyone should feel belonged to Jesus. Jesus is the goal, the motivation and the criteria.

The negative action done to anyone will also be punished on the last day. These actions pertain to doing (hands), movements (feet) and seeing (eyes). Each one should watch over his activities, movements, and seeing. These three activities lead one to sin and preventing these three one is assured of his reward.

கிறிஸ்துவை முன்வைத்து நமது எல்லா செயல்கள் இருக்கவேண்டும். நல்ல செயல்களுக்க கைமாறு உண்டு. தீய செயல்கள் அதிலும் சிறப்பாக கை வழி செயல்கள்@ கால் வழி நடமாட்டங்கள்@ கண் வழி பார்வைகள் தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.

GOSPEL READING: MARK 9:38-40

Jesus does not want to be exclusive with regard to ministry. The ministry that Jesus does is also done by others. They also do it in the name of Jesus. There are many groups and many sects who perform ministry in the name of Jesus and one should not look at the other as an enemy or he is in opposition.

Jesus’ wish is that the different groups who do ministry should not become enemies among themselves. They should not be fighting among themselves and thus forget the mission. Because this attitude will lead to justifying one group against the other and thus the time would be spent in arguments and mission would be lost.

இயேசுவின் பெயரால் பலரும் பல இடங்களில் பணிசெய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். இதில் யார் உண்மை பணியாளன் என்ற வாக்குவாதம் வரத்தான் செய்யும். இதை தவிர்த்து பணியை முன் வைக்க வேண்டும்.
