Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: MARK 10:2-16

Pharisees are bringing in a question to trap Jesus. They see Jesus as progressive or as a man who does not fall in line with the normal understanding. The Pharisees think that they are right because they follow the tradition of Moses. Jesus falls back to God and not just to Moses. Moses’ understanding and interpretations are good because they help the people at a particular situation and at a particular time. But God’s understanding is good for all times and for all situations.

Jesus wanted the children to come to him and he wanted to be with them. Kingdom of God belongs to people who are like little children. Being among the children, Jesus experienced the kingdom. Where children are (people who are like children) there the kingdom of God is.

மோசே> கடவுள் இவர்களில் யாரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு வாழ்வை அமைப்பது? பரிசேயர்கள் மோசே சட்டத்தையும் விளக்கங்களையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்தார்கள். இயேசு கடவுளை முன்வைத்து வாழச் சொல்லுகிறார். சிறு பிள்ளைகள் இருக்கும் இடம் இறையாட்சி உள்ள இடம். சிறு பிள்ளைகள் அல்லது சிறு பிள்ளைகள் போன்ற மக்கள் இருக்கும் இடமே இறையாட்சி.

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 10:17-24

The seventy two returned. Not even one was lost. They were happy and rejoicing because they found fulfilment in their ministry. Their mission was successful. They were not happy because they founded a church or they had their own followers or they were rewarded for their works or they did not bring back their earning etc. They were rejoicing because of the name (of Jesus) and the success because of the name.

Jesus replied them and confirmed their experience by saying that evil have no power over them. Because their power was in the name of Jesus. Jesus name was so powerful that evil would not harm them. Added reason for their rejoicing was their name was written in heaven. They rejoiced because of the name of Jesus and Jesus told them to rejoice because of their own names written in heaven.

சீடர்கள் இயேசுவின் பெயரில் மகிழ்ச்சி கண்டார்கள்> அந்த பெயரின் சக்தியில் மகிழ்ச்சி கண்டார்கள். இயேசுவின் பெயர் தீமையின்மேல் சக்தி கொண்டிருந்தது. பெயரின் வல்லமையை அவர்கள் கண்டார்கள். இயேசு அதற்கு மாறாக அவர்களுடைய பெயர்கள் விண்ணகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன என்பதே மகிழ்ச்சிக்கு காரணமாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று கூறுகிறார்.
