Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: 12:35-38

Master’s arrival is not known to the servant. His arrival could be as late as very late into the night. Servant should be ready to open just at the knock on the door. In a sense the servant is at the door with his hand on the door and listening intently for the sound of the knock.

Servant should be always vigilant. He should be in his uniform and with emergency lamp in his hands. Only those servants who are vigilant and ready for action will be rewarded. They will in turn be treated like the masters and the masters themselves will wait on them.

பணியாளர்கள் விழித்திருக்க வேண்டும். தயார்நிலையில் இருக்கவேண்டும். இவ்வாறு செயல்படும் பணியாளர்களுக்கு தலைவர்கள் பணிவிடை செய்வார்கள்.

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 12:13-21

Man thinks that the earth is for his possession. Whatever is the produce of the earth is also for his possession. Man finds in the things his own security and safety. He thinks that wealth can buy happiness which he longs for. He wants to establish himself here on earth.

Man does not realize that his life is not in his control. Man can be called out at any moment. He will have to leave all these without any recourse to it. His safety and security will be gone in a fraction of a second. So the real, only and final security and safety is the Lord.

வாழ்வு பொருள்களில் இல்லை உடைமைகளில் இல்லை. இவை அனைத்தும் நம்மைவிட்டு போய்விடம் அல்லது நாம் அவைகளைவிட்டு அகன்றுவிடுவோம். வாழ்வு இறைவனின் கொடை. அவர்தான் நிலையானவர்.
