GOSPEL READING: LUKE 6:39-42

Remove the wooden beam from your eye first.

Fault finding has been the problem of humanity right from the beginning. Together with this, blaming the other for the wrong done have been going on. These two have been working hand in hand. Finding fault and blaming the other have destroyed many.

Jesus here criticizes the Pharisees and those of their type for finding fault in others and blaming the others always for the wrongs done. Pharisees were going around seeing if Jesus would do anything wrong so that they might catch him. They brought a woman caught in sin. Judas blamed Mary for spending the costly oil.

முதலில் உங்கள் கண்ணில் இருக்கும் மரக் கட்டையை எடுத்து எறியுங்கள்.

பிறரிடம் குறைகண்டுபிடித்தலும் பிறரை குற்றம் கூறுதலும் தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும். பரிசேயர்கள் இயேசுவின் பின் சென்றார்கள் குறை கண்டுபிடிக்க. தன் குறை காண்பவனே சிறந்த மனிதன்.

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 6:27-38

Be merciful, just as (also) your Father is merciful.

Jesus tells his listeners to be different from the others. He has always been telling them to be different from Pharisees, Scribes and now pagans. Whatever they do is not anything wrong. They love their friends; they assist they own people; they give to people in order to get it back etc.

Be different. Love them without expecting to be loved by them (enemies). Give to them (whomsoever they may be) without expecting back anything from them. In short be like the heavenly Father. He lets rain fall on the good and the bad. He lets the sun shine on the righteous and the unjust.

உங்கள் தந்தை இரக்கமுள்ளவராய் இருப்பதுபோல நீங்களும் இரக்கம் உள்ளவர்களாய் இருங்கள்”

வித்தியாசமாய் இருங்கள் என்று இயேசு கூறுகிறார். பொதுவாக மக்கள் நண்பர்களுக்கு அன்பு காட்டுகிறார்கள், உறவினர்களோடு பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார்கள், மீண்டும் கிடைக்கும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையில் உதவுகிறார்கள். நீpங்கள் விண்ணகத் தந்தையைப்போல் இருங்கள். ஏனெனில் அவர் நன்றி கெட்டோருக்கும் பொல்லாதோருக்கும் நன்மை செய்கிறார்.
