GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 13:44-46

The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field,

The treasure buried in field is unknown to the people who pass-by or people who live close to it. The treasure is certainly there in that place. The treasure brings great joy on the person who comes to know about it. The person is ready sacrifice anything and everything to buy the land that has the treasure.

Man wants to be happy and he wants always to possess great wealth. Man can never be satisfied with less. He wants more and more of everything. This is human tendency. He wants to be happy always. The kingdom of heaven is like the treasure or precious pearls. The attitude of the man should be to lose everything for the sake of the kingdom. Kingdom of heaven will bring unlimited joy and happiness.

விண்ணரசு இப்புதையலுக்கு ஒப்பாகும்.

புதையலைக் கண்டு அதைவிரும்பித் தேடாத நபர் யாருமில்லை. இதுதான் மனித இயல்பும் கூட. புதையலின் மதிப்பை உணர்ந்தவன் அதன் மதிப்பு உயர்ந்தது என்று அறிந்தால் (பிறர் வருவதற்கு முன்பாகவே) உடனே எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று அதை பெற முயலுவான். விண்ணரசின் மதிப்பை யாரும் உணரவில்லை.

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 13:36-43

Whoever has ears ought to hear.

Whatever happens on this earth has kingdom relevance. Or at least it points to the kingdom. The world is important and it is the basis for everything. Because, God has created the world. God had created the world with reference to the kingdom but however the evil one has taken the world away from God. Jesus has come into the world to bring back the world to God.

Whatever happens on this earth has a kingdom meaning. As Jesus reads the world with reference to the kingdom so too his disciples should read the happening of the world with reference to the kingdom. What happens in the fields with weeds and wheat has a meaning and reference to the kingdom. One has to hear the kingdom in the world and see the kingdom in the world.

கேட்கச் செவியுள்ளோர் கேட்கட்டும்

உலக நிகழ்வுகளை வைத்து இயேசு இறையாட்சியைப்பற்றி பேசுகிறார். உலக நிகழ்வுகளுக்கும் இறையாட்சிக்கும் தொடர்பு உண்டு பொருளும் உண்டு. இவை இரண்டும் ஒன்றை ஒன்று சுட்டிக்காட்டுகின்றன. உலக நிகழ்வுகளில் இறையாட்சியைக் காணவேண்டும் கேட்கவேண்டும்.
