Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: JOHN 1:1-18

And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.

There is a perfect description about the Jesus: his ministry and his life. He was with God (he had no beginning) and everything has its source in him (he was God for everything in the world). He is spoken of in relation to God and creature. In relation to God he was identical with God but in relation to creature he was the source.

His mission was to redeem the creation (the world had lost its relationship with God. The creation has forgotten that they are the creatures). When God came as human (JESUS) the people did not recognize him. They had lost their Godliness (God as their source) and Jesus came into the world to give back this relationship as a gift. The people are to have faith in him.

வாக்கு மனிதர் ஆனார்@ நம்மிடையே குடிகொண்டார். அவரது மாட்சியை நாங்கள் கண்டோம். அருளும் உண்மையும் நிறைந்து விளங்கிய அவர் தந்தையின் ஒரே மகன் என்னும் நிலையில் இம்மாட்சியைப் பெற்றிருந்தார்.

இயேசு இறைவனாய் இருந்தார். படைப்பனைத்திற்கும் துவக்கமாய் இருந்தார். இதுதான் அவரது இயல்பு, அவரது தன்மை. இறைஉறவை பெற்றிருந்த படைப்புகள் இதை இழந்து இருளில் வாழ்ந்தன. மீண்டும் உறவை புதுபிக்க இயேசு மனுஉரு எடுத்தார். அருளும் உண்மையும் நிறைந்து விளங்கியதால் அவர் தந்தையின் மகனாய் திகழ்ந்தார். எங்கே அருளும் உண்மையும் நிறைந்து விளங்குகிறதோ அங்கே தந்தையின் உறவு நிறைவு பெறுகிறது.

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 2:41-52

He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them

Family is the place where one should grow to maturity. Every child should remain with parents. Only when the child is grown and became mature (And Jesus advanced (in) wisdom and age and favor before God and man.) then only that person becomes independent and ready for public life. Until then that person grows to maturity in the presence of the parents. He is even removed from the temple to the family.

In the family, the parents long for the child and want the good of the child and want the child to remain with them and they are even ready to face any sacrifice to bring the child back to the family. So child is the centre of the care, concern and even the life of the family. If there in no child then there is no family and that is the reason for the parents to go and search for the child. Family is incomplete without the child. The response of the child is one of obedience to the parents and grow to be mature in the sight of men and God.

அவர் அவர்களுடன் சென்று நாசரேத்தை அடைந்து அவர்களுக்குப் பணிந்து நடந்தார்.

ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தையும் குடும்பத்தில்தான் வளர வேண்டும். வளர்ந்து முதிர்ச்சி பெற்ற பிறகுதான் பொது வாழ்வுக்கு தயாராகிறார். பெற்றோர்கள் குழந்தையை தேடி கண்டுபிடிக்க வேண்டும். கோவிலைவிட குடும்பம்தான் குழந்தையின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு முதிர்ச்சிக்கு சிறந்த இடம். குழந்தையும் பெற்றோர்களுக்கு பணிந்து வாழ்வதில் முதிர்ச்சி அடைகின்றார்.
