Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 10:34-11:1

And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple– amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”

We are in this world and we have our relations: father, mother, brothers, sisters and so on. Most of the times these relations are one against the other. This is true in every case. This will be so. Jesus gives a perfect solution for this. These relations should be given their rightful places. They are only after God and after Jesus. God comes first and so also Jesus.

When one begins to live this attitude then every one in the world and every creature in the world is related. With this attitude (because one belongs to the Jesus), when one begins to relate and do things then the reward is certain. Even a glass of water given, which may be an insignificant action in the sight of men, goes to receive a reward form Jesus.

இச்சிறியோருள் ஒருவருக்கு அவர் என் சீடர் என்பதால் ஒரு கிண்ணம் குளிர்ந்த நீராவது கொடுப்பவரும் தம் கைம்மாறு பெறாமல் போகார் என உறுதியாக உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன்”.

இவ்வுலகில் உள்ள உறவுகள் அனைத்துமே நமக்கு எதிராக திரும்பக்கூடியவை. ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று முறன்படக்கூடியது. நம் தலையான உறவு அல்லது முதன்மையான உறவு இயேசுவாகும்போது வாழ்வு சீர்படும். இவ்வுறவை முன்வைத்து வாழும்போது (என் சீடர் என்பதால் ஒரு கிண்ணம் குளிர்ந்த நீராவது கொடுப்பவர்) அவர் பயன் அடையாது போகமாட்டார். கிறிஸ்துவில் உறவே சிறந்தது.

GOSPEL READING: MARK 6:7-13

Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.

The disciples were sent out to preach repentance and do the activities of the kingdom: to heal the sick and to drive out the demons. They were given instructions for the journey as well. They were not to stay long in any one place. They have to be on the move. The disciples were to be nomads (in a sense) and settlers. It is a life of journey with the mission.

They should not linger in any place trying to win them over or convince them. If they are not welcomed in anyone place; they should move on to another. They should shake off the dust: even the dust of that place should not be with them. If a place does not accept their preaching and the message of the kingdom then the disciples should have nothing to do with them: not even dust.

உங்களை எந்த ஊராவது ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமலோ உங்களுக்குச் செவிசாய்க்காமலோ போனால் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேறும்பொழுது> உங்கள் கால்களில் படிந்துள்ள தூசியை உதறிவிடுங்கள். இதுவே அவர்களுக்கு எதிரான சான்றாகும்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறினார்

சீடர்கள் இறையாட்சி பணிக்காக அனுப்பப்படும்போது இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு தீமைக்கு எதிராக அதிகாரம் கொடுக்கிறார்@ பயணத்தின்போது மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டிய ஒழுங்குகள் தருகிறார். அவர்களுடைய போதனைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாத ஊர்களிலிருந்து வெளியேறும்போது கால்களில் படிந்துள்ள தூசியை உதறிவிடுங்கள் என்று இயேசு கூறுகிறார். கால் தூசி கூட உடனிருக்கக் கூடாது.
