GOSPEL  READING; MATTHEW 28: 8-15

 This is a beautiful story about the disappearance of the body of Jesus from the tomb. If the body was stolen then the disciples would have kept it in a secret place and venerated it secretly. The disciples would have gone regularly there to pray etc. Early disciples did not have any message about the tomb of Jesus except that it was empty.

 Jesus who was raised from the dead asked the disciples to go to Galilee and the disciples started their journey to Galilee. Even if the disciples had stolen the body they would not have carried to Galilee which is far away from Jerusalem and there were no transportation in those days.  Even if they carried then they would have come in the eyes of the public and officials of the Roman army. So Jesus is risen.

 கல்லறை வெறுமையாய் இருந்தது என்பதற்கு இந்தக் கதையும் துனைபோகிறது. சீடர்கள் இயேசுவின் உடலை திருடியிருப்பார்கள் என்றால் கண்டிப்பாக அதை ஒரு ரகசிய இடத்தில் வைத்து பாதுகாத்து பராமரித்திருப்பார்கள். அவர்களே அங்கும் இங்கும் பயந்து திரிகிறார்கள். வெறுமையான கல்லரையே உயிர்ப்புக்கு சாட்சி.

GOSPEL READING: MARK 16: 1-8

After the Sabbath, the ladies came to the tomb with spices to anoint the body of Jesus. They came with the idea that the dead body of Jesus would still be there and since he was buried in a hurry before the Sabbath they wanted to anoint the body. They never thought of the resurrection at that time otherwise they would not have come with the spices.

They were surprised and shocked to see the tomb opened and the tomb empty (without the body of Jesus). They received the information on resurrection from the angel (revelation form above). Impossible (humanly speaking) has taken place. This is similar to the birth of Jesus (angel announce the birth of Jesus to Mary without the assistance of man and which was humanly impossible). Resurrection is a divine act and we believe. (If Jesus is not risen then our faith is in vain).

இயேசுவின் உடலை நறுமண தைலங்களால் பூச பெண்கள் கல்லறைக்குச் செல்கிறார்கள். கல்லறை திறந்திருந்ததையும் கல்லறை வெறுமையாயிருந்ததையும் கண்ட அவர்கள் பயந்து அஞ்சி ஓடினார்கள். உயிர்ப்பு அவர்களுக்கு வானதூதர் வழியாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது (பிறப்பும் அப்படித்தானே அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது). உயிர்ப்பு ஒரு இறைசெயல். இறைவனால் முடியாதது ஒன்றும் இல்லை.
