GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 5:13-16

that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.

Disciple is to give taste to others. Disciple has the taste within himself. Saltiness has to be within him. It should not be lost. What is lost cannot be regained again. In the same the taste has no purpose for himself, he has to give taste to others. A disciple has a double role to play. Disciple has to have the taste within him and yet it is not for him alone; he has to share it with the rest.

Similarly the light also. Light is for others. The disciple has to give light to others. He has to shine before others and give light to others. The disciple should be visible. This visibility is not for self revelation or self glory. Visibility is for the glory of the heavenly father.

உவர்ப்பு தன்மை தன்னில் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும். தனக்காக மட்டுமல்ல. பிறருக்கு பயனளிக்கவே. ஒளியும் பிறருக்கு ஒளி கொடுக்கவே. சீடத்துவம் என்பது தன்னில் உவர்ப்புத்தன்னையை, ஒளியை கொண்டிருத்தலாகும்; இரண்டாவதாக அவைகள் பிறருக்காகவே, பிறருக்கு பயனளிக்கவே; மூன்றாவதாக இறைவனைப் போற்றி புகழவே.

Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.

The disciples are asked to proclaim the nearness of the kingdom. The kingdom will hold people in their fullness, completeness and make people complete. All the physical, material, and spiritual wants should be rectified. They should be healed of all weaknesses. Gifts should be given freely because everything is a gift from God. All things are received freely and they should be given freely.

Kingdom workers should continue their mission without looking for rewards and gains. They should also not carry with them the things that they may need for journey and mission. They should continue the mission with what is provided on the way and where they work.

விண்ணரசு நெருங்கிவிட்டது என்று அறிவிப்பதே பணியாளர்களின் வேலை. விண்ணரசில் இருப்பவர்கள் நிறைவைப்பெருவார்கள், நிறைவாய் இருக்கார்கள். விண்ணரசு பணியாளர்கள் இலவசமாகப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள், அவர்களும் பயனை எதிர்பார்க்காது பணிசெய்யவேண்டும்.
