GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 18:1-5,10,12-14
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father”.

Kingdom of heaven is a place for the children and child-like persons. One of the qualities of the child is to humble himself. A child wants to learn more about things and that is the reason he comes (humbles) and asks for explanations. A child accepts his limitations and asks for help and assistance (does not pretend).
Receiving a child in the name of Jesus receives Jesus. So Jesus associates with the child or shows his relationship with a child. The relationship is so much that it is almost identification. Jesus almost presents himself as a child. So grownups should live like Jesus (humility etc) and thus become child-like and in turn ready to be members of the kingdom.

இச்சிறியோருள் ஒருவரையும் நீங்கள் இழிவாகக் கருதவேண்டாம்@ கவனமாயிருங்கள்! இவர்களுடைய வானதூதர்கள் என் விண்ணகத் தந்தையின் திருமுன் எப்பொழுதும் இருக்கின்றார்கள் என நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

சிறியவர்போல் இருப்பவர்கள்தான் விண்ணரசில் நுழையமுடியும். இயேசுவின் பெயரால் சிறியவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்பவர்கள் இயேசுவையே ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள். இயேசு தன்னை சிறியோரோடு இணைத்துக்கொள்கிறார். இயேசுவைப்போல் வாழ்தல் சிறியோரைப்போல் இருப்பதற்கு சமம். சிறியோரைப்போல் (இயேசுவைப்போல்) இருத்தல்தான் நாம் விண்ணரசுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்படுவோம்.
