GOSPEL READING: LUKE 9:46-50
Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.

Jesus came into the world to preach the kingdom and usher in the kingdom. In his kingdom all are welcome. Even a little child who may not be useful for the ministry has an important place in the kingdom. A child is the one, who depends on the other; who needs assistance; who relies on the other for everything. (these are not the qualities of the greatest).
Jesus also speaks of an inclusive community. All belong to the kingdom. All are welcome to the kingdom. Even those who do not know Jesus directly or belong to Jesus directly may do the works of the kingdom and as such they are part of the kingdom. Kingdom is more expansive; more inclusive; more accommodative etc.

இச்சிறு பிள்ளையை என் பெயரால் ஏற்றுக் கொள்பவர் எவரும் என்னையே ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறார். என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்பவர் என்னை அனுப்பினவரையே ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறார்.

இறையாட்சி சிறுபிள்ளைகளைச் சார்ந்தது. சிறுபிள்ளைகள் பிறரை சார்ந்திருப்பார்கள்@ அவர்களால் தனித்துநின்று செயல்பட முடியாது@ பிறருடைய உதவியை நாடி வாழ்பவர்கள். (பதவி, பட்டம், நாடி வாழும் பெரியவர்கள் இவ்வாறு அன்று). இறையாட்சி எல்லாவற்றையும் உள்ளடக்கக்கூடியது.
