They would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Chorazin and Bethsaida were small towns in Galilee. Jesus has done a lot of works in these places in Galilee. Jesus’ major portion of activity was concentrated in Galilee. The response of people to the preaching and the activity of Jesus were very much to be desired. Jesus did not even find the normal response from the people for his activities.
Tyre and Sidon were pagan towns. They did not believe in Yahweh but they had their own gods. However, they saw the mighty works of Jesus as the activity of the Divine. Not only that but they also responded to the mighty works as Divine actions in history. Jesus exalts the proper response to divine action: repentance.

கொராசின்> பெத்சாய்தா போன்ற இடங்களில் இயேசு அதிகமாக பணி செய்திருக்க வேண்டும். பணியின் பயன்களைப் பெற்ற மக்கள் அந்த பணிக்கான சரிநிகரான பதிலைத் தர மறந்துவிட்டார்கள் அல்லது மறுத்துவிட்டார்கள். இறை போதனைக்கும்> இறை செயல்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கப்பட வேண்டிய பதில் மனமாற்றமே.
