GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 4: 12-17, 23-25
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Jesus began his ministry after the arrest of John the Baptist. His ministry did not coincide with that of John. His ministry was distinct from that of John. Even though they both were preaching of the kingdom yet they had their distinction. John was preaching the arrival of Jesus but Jesus was preaching the kingdom.
Jesus’ preaching was accompanied by the activities of the kingdom. The activities were healing: healing of all types for all people from all over the place. The healing ministry did not have any restriction. It was all inclusive. The news of the kingdom spread all over the places and the following also was from all over the places.

இயேசு விண்ணரசைப் பற்றி போதித்தார். விண்ணரசு பற்றிய செயல்களைச் செய்தார். விண்ணரசை மக்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும்போது அவர்கள் முதலில் மனம்மாறவேண்டும், இரண்டாவுது அவர்கள் பின்செல்லவேண்டும். மனம்மாறுதலும் பின்செல்லுதலும் விண்ணரசை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளுவோரின் செயல்கள்.
