GOSPEL READING: LUKE 15:3-7
‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
The heart of the shepherd does not want to lose even one of the sheep (he has hundred of them). He is even ready leave the ninety-nine on the way and goes after the lost one (this is not the normal course but shows his love for each one of them and it is special). The heart of the shepherd rejoices at finding the lost and he celebrates.
The God of the bible is does not criticize and condemn the run-aways. His hear goes after the lost. God rejoices at the return of the lost and there is a celebration at the finding of the lost. God is a God of unity and God of togetherness and God of celebration.
