GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 5:13-16
Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.
Disciples are called to be taste of the food and light of the world. Food is essential for life and one of the basic needs of everyone. Without food man ends up dying. When the food is tasty man eats well and lives as long as one could. Tasty food is life-giving and light makes the world visible to man.
Disciples are called to be life-giving and make the world (the real world) visible. These are done through good deeds. Every good deed of the disciple is life giving to the others and also makes the world visible. Good deeds are primary source for the life of the kingdom.

சீடர்களின் நற்செயல்களே உப்பாகவும் ஒளியாகவும் உலகில் திகழ்கின்றன. வாழ்விற்கு அடிப்படையான உணவுக்கு ருசி கொடுப்பது உப்பு அதேபோல் உலகை வெளிப்படையாக்குவது ஒளி.
