GOSPEL READING: JOHN 6:52-59
Jesus, in this passage, is discussing with them on the theme of life. The discussion is to communicate life to the people. Life can be communicated by anyone who has life. Jesus has life. He has it because he is with the Father and he is from the Father. He communicates this life which he has through his own life (the flesh and blood).
The rewards of receiving the life from Jesus are many: eternal life, resurrection, life, association with Jesus (remain in me). In fact this is the sum total of the expectation of any creature who believes in God. Any believer in God wants to belong to God and possess those basic gifts of God. All those gifts are found in Jesus because Jesus himself is a gift to the world.
வாழ்வைப்பற்றி பேசுகிறார் இயேசு. வாழ்வாக இருந்தாலும்> நிலைவாழ்வாக இருந்தாலும்> உயிர்ப்பாக இருந்தாலும் இவை அனைத்துமை இறைவனின் கொடை. இந்த கொடைகள் எல்லாமே இயேசுவின் வழியாகத்தான் கிடைக்கிறது. இதற்கு இயேசு தனது வாழ்வையே (உடலையும்> இரத்தத்தையும்) கொடையாக கொடுக்கிறார்.
