GOSPEL READING: JOHN 6:44-51
‘They shall all be taught by God.’ No man on the earth or no creature of this world is going to be the teacher for the people (no scribes, no elders). God is going to deal with the people directly. This we find in the prophets: Is 54:13 and Jer 31:33-34. Prophet Jeremiah gives even the content of the teaching of God. Anyone who accepts this teaching and lives by it shall merit eternal life.
Content of the teaching is: “write it upon their hearts; I will be their God, and they shall be my people. No longer will they have need to teach their friends and kinsmen how to know the LORD. All, from least to greatest, shall know me, says the LORD, for I will forgive their evildoing and remember their sin no more.” The teaching of God is about God himself.
~கடவுள்தாமே அனைவருக்கும் கற்றுத்தருவார்| என்று சொல்லும்போது இறைவாக்கினர் எரேமியா கூறுவதுதான் நினைவிற்கு வருகிறது: என் சட்டத்தை அவர்கள் உள்ளத்தில் பதிப்பேன்@ அதை அவர்களது இதயத்தில்எழுதிவைப்பேன். நான் அவர்களின் கடவுளாய் இருப்பேன்@ அவர்கள் என் மக்களாய் இருப்பார்கள்> என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். இனிமேல் எவரும் ~ஆண்டவரை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்| எனத் தமக்கு அடுத்திருப்பவருக்கோ சகோதரருக்கோ கற்றுத்தர மாட்டார். ஏனெனில் அவர்களுள் பெரியோர் முதல் சிறியோர் வரை அனைவரும் என்னை அறிந்துகொள்வர்> என்கிறார் ஆண்டவர். அவர்களது தீச்செயலை நான் மன்னித்துவிடுவேன்@ அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களை இனிமேல் நினைவு கூரமாட்டேன்.
