GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 12:46-50
Jesus was addressing the crowd. Among the crowd there were also the mother of Jesus and his brothers. The crowd recognized them and the acknowledged them as his relations. The crowd acknowledged them as his human relations. As human relation the crowd expected Jesus also to acknowledge them and give them their due preference and importance. This is normal and natural.
Jesus saw only the relations of the word of God. He recognized those who were related to him through the word of God and executed the will of the Father and he acknowledged them as his relatives. This was the first and important relationship for Jesus. This did not in any way exclude the human relations in fact it included them much more. Mary was not only his human and earthly mother but much more because she was the one who said yes to the word of God and the will of God.
இயேசுவை பின்தொடர்ந்த மக்கள் மரியாவை இவ்வுலகில் இயேசுவின் தாயாகவும் உறவினராகவும் ஏற்று கொண்டார்கள். அது சரியானதே. மரியா இயேவின் தாய் (உலக கண்ணோட்டத்தில்> உடல்> மனித கண்ணோட்டத்தில்). ஆனால் இயேசு உறவினர்களை மற்றொரு கண்ணோட்டத்தில் பார்க்கிறார். அவருக்கு உறவு என்பது இறைவார்த்தையோடு இறைசித்தத்தோடு இனைந்தது. இந்த இறைவார்த்தை> இறைசித்த உறவு மனித உறவையும் உள்ளடக்கியது.
