11.05.11 LIFE OF RESURRECTION IS A GIFT

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen (me), you do not believe. Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me. And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it (on) the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him (on) the last day." (Jn 6:35-40)

Jesus says that he will not reject anyone who comes to him. People often in the society have choices. Even among the people who come to any person, the person chooses according to many factors. The factors could be of religion, of material wealth, social status etc. Jesus ha sonly one factor in viewing the people who come to him. The people are sent by the father.

Jesus does not lose anyone who is sent by the father. Jesus not only chooses them he also does not lose them for anything. He values the persons given by the father. People are important and they are valuable because they are sent by the father. So the value comes because of the father. Anything that comes from the father and anyone who has a value in the sight of the father are important for Jesus.

The people who are sent by the father are important and they are not lost by Jesus. They in their turn should believe in Jesus. If they believe in Jesus then they are rewarded with eternal life and the life of resurrection. Eternal life and life of resurrection are gifts and this is the will of the father.
