GOSPEL READING: MARK 3:20-35
Jesus came into this world for the redemption of the people. He accepted willingly all the suffering and died on the cross for the forgiveness. He forgave even those who mocked him. He said ‘Father forgive them for did not know what they are saying’. Their sin against the humanity of Christ was out of their ignorance.
The sin against the Holy Spirit is not forgiven. Here the sin against the Holy Spirit is to say that he was doing all the work through the action of devil. By this way of saying they would outface the conviction of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit after Christ’s ascension. They deny all the possibility of God’s action and that is why they are in eternal damnation.
Who are they true relations or who should be the true relations in one’s life? Jesus answers it well. Are they the kindred according to the flesh or spiritual kindred? For Jesus the relations are those who do the will of the Father. He makes this point clear through comparison. His mother and relations are waiting outside to take him home.
Mary was not only his physical mother but much his spiritual. (“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word”). It was Mary who was the first one to do the will of the Father. Mary became the excellent model of the spiritual relations about whom Jesus was speaking about. There is the transformation from physical relation to spiritual relation.
இயேசுவையும் இயேசுவின் பணிகளையும் பழிக்கிறவர்கள் மன்னிப்புப் பெறுவர். இயேசு சிலுவையில் தொங்கும்போது அவரைப்பற்றி அவதூறு பேசியவர்களை அவர் மன்னித்தார். (இவர்கள் செய்வது இன்னது என்று அறியாமல் செய்கின்றனர்). ஆனால் அவரில் செயலாற்றுவது தூய ஆவி அல்ல மாறாக தீய ஆவி என்று சொல்லுவது தூய ஆவியின் கொடைகளையும் இயேசுவின் விண்ணேற்புக்குப் பின் தூய ஆவியின் பணிகளையும் மறுப்பதாகும். இவைகள் மன்னிக்கப்படாதவைகள்.
உண்மை உறவினர் யார் என்று இயேசு இங்கே கூறுகிறார்: கடவுளின் திருவுளத்தை நிறைவேற்றுபவரே. மரியாதான் கடவுளின் திருவுளத்தை நிறைவேற்றியவர். (‘நான் ஆண்டவரின் அடிமை@ உம்சொற்படியே எனக்கு நிகழட்டும்”). ஏல்லா உறவுகளுக்கும் மரியா ஒரு முன்அடையாளமாகிறாள்.
