GOSPEL READING Mk 1: 29-39
Simon Peter’s mother-in-law waited on them after being healed by Jesus. Healing of a person from illness immediately leads that person to service. Indirectly the message that is communicated is that a person of wholeness or completeness should be available for service for the others.
Jesus who was completely whole was always available for service. He went about ding good to the others. People flocked to him and he was always with the people who need his service. However he did not restrict the service a place or expected the people to come to him. He went about to the people where the people were in need of his service.
