1st Week of Advent, Tuesday – 1st December 2020 — Gospel: Lk 10,21-24
Acknowledging Trinitarian Network
The Gospel presents how Jesus enjoyed the unique blessings of the Trinitarian relationship. It highlights how the persons of Trinity interact and work for the good of God’s chosen people and the furtherance of his plan in every age. And Jesus shows that the knowledge, power, and authority, which he has received from his Abba-Father and the Holy Spirit, will certainly be passed as gifts to whomever he wishes. Certainly this text remains as a wonderful example of the Trinitarian idea of God woven into the fabric of the Gospel of Luke. Jesus was genuinely excited in the power of the Holy Spirit. His joy made him break out into prayer to God the Father. He praised God the Father for his goodness, for his wisdom, for his plan, and for his own unique relationship with God the Father. Further, Jesus manifests his unity with the Father saying “all things have been delivered to me by my Father.” Spoke of his special relationship with the Father saying, “No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son.” And admits some chosen ones such as children, whom God allows to have some part in that special relationship saying, “anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” Thus, Jesus gratefully acknowledges to his disciples about his Abba-Father, who has entrusted to him full authority to usher in the reign of truth, justice, and peace.
