GOSPEL READING: JOHN 11:45-56
Death of Jesus was being discussed among the leaders. Jesus preaching and his mighty works were gathering a big crowd. Jesus was becoming a leader with the people behind him. He had to be reckoned as a leader. Till now they were the leaders and all the directions were going from them. They have lost control over the people. Indirectly they were recognizing that Jesus was a leader.
Before someone else (Rome) come to decide upon the situation the leaders have decided to put an end to this situation. Caiaphas said that it was better for one man to die than for the whole nation. They realized that would be difficult to win back the whole nation so the easiest way is to put away the leader. They plot and scheme to execute this.

யூத தலைவர்கள் ஒன்று கூடுகின்றனர். இயேசு தன் போதனையாலும் அரும்அடையாளங்களாலும் மக்களை தன் பக்கம் அழைத்துக்கொள்கிறார். மக்கள் தங்கள் பக்கம் இல்லை என்பதே தலைவர்களுக்கு பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை கொடுத்தது. மக்களை தங்கள் பக்கம் திசை திருப்புவது முடியாத காரியமாக அவர்களுக்கு தோன்றியது. இயேசுவை அழித்துவிட்டால் மக்களை மாற்றுவது எளிது என்று கருதி இயேசுவை அழிக்க திட்டங்கள் தீட்டுகிறார்கள்.
