GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 28:1-10
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to the tomb. They probably came to anoint the body. Since Jesus was buried (in a hurry) just before Sabbath they wanted to do it after the Sabbath. They believed in the resurrection and Jesus had preached about it and Jesus had said about his own resurrection and yet these people did not believe that it would happen so quickly. They did not come with resurrection in their mind or in their thoughts.
They came to the tomb but the idea of resurrection was given to them through the angels. It was a revelation. They did not see the resurrection nor did the guards. No one saw the resurrection. On their way back they saw the risen Lord. He appeared to them and he also said that he would meet them in Galilee. A dead body cannot move to such a distance not can it be moved to such a distance. He is alive and he is moving about as he was doing in the past. He is risen after death.

மகதலா மரியாவும் வேறொரு மரியாவும் கல்லறைக்குச் சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் உயிர்ப்பில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் இவ்வளவு சீக்கிரம் நிகழும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை. உயிர்ப்பை மனதில் கொண்டவர்களாக அவர்கள் வந்தார்கள். உயிர்ப்பு ஒரு வெளிப்பாடு. கலிலேயாவுக்கு போய்க் கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்று சொல்லுவதன் வழியாக அவர் முன்போல் நடமாடுகிறார் என்று சொல்லுகிறார். இறந்த உடல் நடமாடாது மேலும் அதை அவ்வளவு தூரம் (கலிலேயாவுக்கு) யாரும் தூக்கிச்செல்ல மாட்டார்கள் (தூக்கிச்செல்லவும் முடியாது). அவர் உயிர்த்து விட்டார்.
