GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 13: 31-35

The kingdom of heaven is like a seed but the smallest in size. It is so small that it goes unnoticed. Since it is a seed for the sowing there is life and growth in it. Its growth is for the service of the others. Its growth is so much that it is easily noticeable and usable.

The kingdom of heaven is like yeast. Its presence is totally unrecognizable at the beginning. Yeast is like the flour. One cannot be differentiated from the other by a casual look. But the whole batch of flour is leavened. So the kingdom works its way through. It will definitely succeed.

இயேசு உவமைகள் வாயிலாகத்தான் பேசினார். உவமைகள் உண்மையை தெளிவுபடுத்தின. விண்ணரசைப்பற்றியும் அதன் பண்புகளைப்பற்றியும் உவமைகள் விளக்கின. விண்ணரசு கண்ணுக்குப் புலப்படாதது. உணரமுடியாதது. ஆனால் விண்ணரசு கண்டிப்பாக வெற்றிபெறும்.

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 13:44-52

Kingdom of heaven is a hidden treasure. It is a pearl of great price. These two descriptions show that the kingdom of heaven is not seen casually. It is hidden and hence it has to be revealed and it is revealed only to a few. Again pearl of great price is not seen in the streets or in the market places. The buyer has to desire for it and go after it.

The kingdom of heaven demands sacrifice; sacrifice of all what one possesses and all what one could have had. The buyer had to sell everything; in a sense lose everything; let go everything. The outcome of this is great joy. Everyone longs to be happy and joyful. The goal of life is to be joyful and man runs after things that would make him joyful. The kingdom of heaven is the only thing that would make him happy and joyful.

விண்ணரசு புதையலைப்போன்றது எளிதில் கண்ணுக்கு புலப்படாது@ விலை உயர்ந்த ஒரு முத்தைப்போன்றது எளிதில் கிடைக்காது. வுpண்ணரசில் வாழ விரும்புகிறவன் தமக்குள்ள யாவற்றையும் விற்று@ தமக்குள்ள யாவற்றையும் இழந்துதான் பெறமுடியும். அதுதான் முழு மகிழ்ச்சியை தரும். விண்ணரசில்தான் முழு மகிழ்ச்சி> நிறை மகிழ்ச்சி உள்ளது.
