Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 20:20-28

The mother was concerned about the future of her children. She was right in doing so because she had to think of the future of her children; and through them she continues to enter into future. The mother travels into the future through her children. She makes herself present into the future through them. But the extension (her expectation) is only through places of honour and love.

The other apostles were also indignant because they were also (probably) of the same mind. They were also longing for places of posts and positions. They were missionaries and apostles with desire for posts and positions. But Jesus was different. Jesus was interested in fulfilling the will of the Father (Can you drink the cup that I am going to drink?); and he want not interested in being rulers (and the great ones make their authority over them felt); he wanted to be a servant (whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant); he was ready even to be a slave (whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave).

மனித எண்ணங்கள் (தாயின் விருப்பம்@ சக சீடர்களின் அவா) முதன்மையான இடங்களை@ முக்கியமான இடங்களை பிடிப்பதற்கே. அவர்களின் வாழ்வு பணி வாழ்வாக (சேவை) இருந்தாலும் கூட எண்ணங்கள்@ நோக்கங்கள்@ எதிர்பார்ப்புகள் பதவி பட்டங்களை சுற்றி இருந்தன. மாறாக இயேசு இறைசித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றுவதிலும்@ பணிசெய்வதிலும்@ தாழ்ந்து (அடிமை) வாழ்வதிலும் கருத்தாய் இருந்தார்.

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 13:18-23

The word is the seed. The word is received by different people differently but the word is the same. The word does not change according to people and culture and situation. The word is unchangeable and it is productive and it is productive in so far as the reception of it.

There are those who receive the word of God but without understanding it (if there is not understanding then the word itself is lost); there are some who receive the word and probably understand but do not like to take risks for the sake of the word (tribulation and persecution); there are others who receive the word and probably understand it but they are anxious about other things and not anxious about the word (anxiety of worldly things and care for wealth); there are few who listen to the word, understand it, take risk for the sake of the word, anxious only about the word and possess only the word and they are the ones who produce much harvest.

விதைகள்தான் இறைவார்த்தை. இறைவார்த்தை மாறதது. இடம்> காலம்> ஆள்> சூழலுக்கேற்ப மாறாதது. பயன் அளிப்பது வார்த்தையை ஏற்பவரை பொருத்தது. வார்த்தையை ஏற்பவர்கள் அதை புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்@ வார்த்தைக்காக அபாயத்தையும் எதிர்கொள்ளவேண்டும்@ வார்த்தையில் ஆவலுள்ளவராக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
