GOSPEL READING: JOHN 14: 1-6
People of faith will not be worried. That is why Jesus tells his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God”. He continues to say to the disciples to have faith in Jesus himself. Thus he makes himself equal to the father. He has done already many times in this Gospel. Jesus is telling his followers that he and the father are one.
This very same idea is further developed when he tells them that he is the way to the Father. When Thomas tells him that he does not know the way to father Jesus affirms that he is the way. Jesus is the complete revelation of the father. He is the one who has come from the father and he is going back to the father. Hence he is the one who knows the way and he is the way.

‘நீங்கள் உள்ளம் கலங்க வேண்டாம். கடவுளிடம் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள்”. நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோர் உள்ளம் கலங்க தேவையில்லை. தந்தையும் இயேசுவும் ஒன்றாய் இருப்பதனால் அவர்மேலும் நம்பிக்கை வைக்க சொல்லுகிறார். இயேசு தந்தையிடமிருந்து வந்ததனாலும் மீண்டும் தந்தையிடம் செல்லுவதாலும் அவருக்குத்தான் தந்தையிடம் செல்லும் வழி தெரியும் எனவேதான் நானே வழி என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.
