26th Week in Ord. Time, Friday – 4th October 2019 — Gospel: Lk 10,13-16
Strengthened in rejection
The focal point of Jesus’ teaching is mission: its nature and its effect. The missionaries who go in the name of Jesus will experience both hospitality and inhospitality, acceptance and rejection. Jesus invites them to counter rejection with prophetic gestures, though it is inevitable for the representatives of the kingdom. According to Luke, this refutation is part of the wider theme of rejection of Jesus in Jerusalem and the subsequent rejection of the Gospel by most of Israel. Rejection of the missionaries is also the rejection of Jesus and ultimately rejection of the One who sent him into the world. Rejection is painful, but God’s grace alone can help to overcome and ultimately win through this. However, the missionaries must have deep foundational relationship with the Jesus and through him with God, the Father as Jesus was united.
இயேசுவின் போதனையின் மையம் பணி சார்ந்தது: அதன் இயல்பு மற்றும் விளைவுகளை மையப்படுத்தியது. இயேசுவின் பெயரில் செல்லும் மறைப்பணியாளர்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்வதும் நிராகரிப்பதும், அவர்களுக்கு விருந்தோம்பல் அளிப்பதும் தவிர்ப்பதும் ஆகிய இவ்விருநிலைகளை ஒவ்வொருவரும் அனுபவிப்பார்கள். இறையாட்சியின் பிரதிநிதிகளுக்கு இந்நிலைகள் தவிர்க்க முடியாதது என்றாலும், இறைவாக்கினரின் அடையாளங்களுடன் தங்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பை எதிர்கொள்ள இயேசு அவர்களை அழைக்கிறார். நற்செய்தியாளர் லூக்கா இந்நிராகரிப்பை, அதாவது எருசலேமில் இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளாததையும் மற்றும் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் அவருடைய நற்செய்தியை நிராகாரித்தையும், ஒட்டுமொத்த பார்வையின் ஒரு பகுதியாக வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார். மறைப்பணியாளரை நிராகரிப்பது என்பது இயேசுவையே நிராகரிப்பதாகும்;; இறுதியில் அவரை உலகிற்கு அனுப்பியவரையும் நிராகரிப்பதாகும். இந்நிராகரிப்பு வேதனையளிக்கக் கூடியது; ஆனால் கடவுளின் அருளால் மட்டுமே அதை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளவும் இறுதியில் வெல்லவும் முடியும். இருப்பினும், மறைப்பணியாளர்கள் இயேசுவுடனும் அவர் மூலமாக இறைத்தந்தையுடனும் ஆழந்;;த அடித்தளமான உறவைக் கொண்டிருத்தல் அவசியம்.
