Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: Lk 6:43-49

Jesus is inviting the people for a change of heart that is a change of personality that is a change from within. Jesus does like the external changes which are cosmetics. Jesus looks for changes that are basic and fundamental. Jesus wants an attitudinal change that will affect the life and character and behaviour of the individual.

Jesus gives another stern warning and expressed this through another parable. Now he takes up the story about the foundation and the building. Listening to the true wisdom and not putting it into practice is like building without foundations. Jesus stories are so true to facts that it is applicable at anytime to anyone and anywhere.

இயேசு வெளிமாற்றங்களை விரும்பவில்லை. அடிப்படையான உண்மையான மாற்றங்களை இயேசு வரவேற்கிறார். மனநிலைமாற்றங்கள்தான் உண்மை மாற்றங்கள்.

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 6:39-42

Fault finding has been the problem of humanity right from the beginning. Together with this, blaming the other for the wrong done have been going on. These two have been working hand in hand. Finding fault and blaming the other have destroyed many.

Jesus here criticizes the Pharisees and those of their type for finding fault in others and blaming the others always for the wrongs done. Pharisees were going around seeing if Jesus would do anything wrong so that they might catch him. They brought a woman caught in sin. Judas blamed Mary for spending the costly oil.

பிறரிடம் குறைகண்டுபிடித்தலும் பிறரை குற்றம் கூறுதலும் தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும். பரிசேயர்கள் இயேசுவின் பின் சென்றார்கள் குறை கண்டுபிடிக்க. தன் குறை காண்பவனே சிறந்த மனிதன்.
