*1st Week in Ord. Time, Wednesday – 16th January 2019 — Gospel: Mark 1,29-39*
*Respond to one’s healing in Service *
The gospel narrative follows Jesus’ first exorcism with his first healing as Jesus moves from the synagogue to the house of his disciples. The casting out of evil powers and the healing of physical sickness are closely related throughout the gospel. Both unclean spirits and illness are manifestations of the reign of sin from which the reign of God has come to liberate humanity. Mark, the evangelist also adds in this section a cumulative description of many healings and exorcisms that take place at dusk. Both in the individual healing and in the common healing Jesus’ expresses his healing characteristics of touch and personal contact. The indication that “she began to serve them” not only provides proof of her healing, but it also teaches others how to respond to the touch of Jesus and the healing he offers. Service of others is the proper response to experiencing the good news of God’s reign.
இயேசு தொழுகைக் கூடத்திலிருந்து அவருடைய சீடர்களின் வீட்டிற்கு வந்த போது, இயேசுவின் முதல் குணமளிக்கும் நிகழ்வில் இருந்து முதல் பேய் ஓட்டும் நிகழ்விற்கு இடம்பெயர்ந்தது விவரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தீய ஆவியை வெளியேற்றுவதும் உடல் நோய்களை குணப்படுத்துவதும் ஒன்றையொன்று தொடர்புடையது. தீய ஆவியும் நோய்களும் மனித குலத்தின் பாவ நிலையை வெளிப்படுத்தினாலும் இறையாட்சி தான் முழுமனித விடுதலையை முன்னிறுத்துகின்றன. மேலும் நற்செய்தியாளர் மாற்கு, இப்பிரிவில் பரவலான குணமளித்தல்களையும் பேயோட்டங்களையும் மாலை வேளையில் நடந்ததாக வர்ணித்துள்ளார். இயேசு தனிப்பட்டோரின் குணப்படுத்துதலிலும் பொது சுகப்படுத்துதலிலும் தனது குணமளிக்கும் பண்புகளான தொடுதலையும் தனிப்பட்ட உறவுநிலையையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றார். “அவர் அவர்களுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்தார் ” என்ற கூற்றின் வழியாக நோயுற்ற பெண் குணம் அடைந்தாள் என்ற ஆதாரத்தை மட்டும் வெளிப்படுத்தவில்லை; மாறாக, இயேசுவின் தொடுதலுக்கும் அவர் கொடுத்த சிகிச்சைமுறைக்கும் உடல்நலம் பெற்றவர் எவ்வாறு பதில் மொழியளிக்கவேண்டும் என்றும் கற்பிக்கிறது. பிறர்நல சேவையே இறையாட்சியின் நற்செய்தியை அனுபவிப்பதற்கான சரியான பதிலாகும்.
