*1st Week in Ord. Time, Thursday – 17th January 2019 — Gospel: Mark 1,40-45*
*Be passionate towards wholeness*
The narrator reveals the strong emotions of Jesus, stating that he was “moved with pity” and emphasizes the fact that Jesus “stretched out his hand and touched him”. Jesus violates the laws of purity in order to establish immediate social contact with him. We can see the similarities between Jesus’ action and his personal welcome of other outcasts, such as the tax collectors and sinners. In contrast to those who became “unclean” by contact with a leper, Jesus’ contact brings cleansing to the leper. Against all the powers of evil, Jesus demonstrates his passionate dedication to the wholeness of all those called to enter the kingdom of God.
இந்நிகழ்வில் “இயேசு பரிவு கொண்டார்” என்று குறிப்பிட்டு அவரின் உணர்ச்சிகளை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார் வர்ணனையாளர். மேலும் “அவர் தன் கையை நீட்டி அவரைத் தொட்டு குணமளித்தார்” என்பதையும் குறிப்பிட்டு அவ்வுணர்ச்சியின் ஆழத்தை அதனோடு இணைத்து வலியுறுத்துகிறார். இயேசு தம்மை அண்டி வந்தவருடன் சமூக உறவை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக, தூய்மைச் சட்டங்களை மீறிச் செயல்படுவதை இங்கு காண்கிறோம். இவ்வாறே வரிதண்டுவோர் மற்றும் பாவிகளையும் இயேசு தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் வரவேற்றார் என்றும் அறிகிறோம். இவ்வாறு இயேசுவின் செயல்களுக்கும் அவரது தனிப்பட்ட வரவேற்புக்கும் இடையே உள்ள ஒற்றுமையை நாம் காணலாம். தொழுநோயாளருடன் தொடர்பு கொண்டால் ‘தீட்டு’ என்பது மாறி, இங்கு இயேசுவின் தொடுதலால் தொழுநோய் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறது. தீமையின் அனைத்து எதிர்ப்புகளுக்கு மத்தியில், அழைக்கப்பட்ட அனைவரும் இறையாட்சியில் நுழையும் முழுமைக்காண பணியில் இயேசு முழுஆர்வத்தோடு தம்மை ஒப்புக் கொடுத்ததை நிரூபிக்கிறார்.
