*3rd week in Lent, Thursday – 28th March 2019 — Gospel: Lk 11,14-23*
*Conflict of two kingdoms *
The fact that Jesus performs amazing works brings him into conflicts of power. It is conflict of power between two kingdoms, that of Satan and that of God. Those who oppose God’s kingdom do not believe in Jesus’ teachings. Jesus’ detractors fail to see the finger of God in his compassion for the sick. Rather than asking with trusting confidence, they seek a sign from heaven. Rather than praying for the coming of God’s kingdom, they accuse Jesus of being aligned with the reign of Satan. Rather than asking for forgiveness of their sins, they charge Jesus of sinning under the influence of the evil one. Rather than praying to be delivered from testing, they put Jesus to the test. Are we on the side of Jesus to build up His kingdom or on the side of detractors who are deaf, dumb and blind to Jesus the Messiah?
இயேசு அற்புதமான செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றார் என்ற உண்மையே அவரை அதிகார மோதல்களுக்குள் கொண்டு வருகிறது. இது சாத்தான் மற்றும் கடவுள் – இவ்விரண்டு அரசுகளுக்கும் இடையேயுள்ள அதிகார மோதலாகும். கடவுளின் அரசாட்சியை எதிர்ப்பவர்கள் இயேசுவின் போதனைகளை நம்புவதில்லை. நோயாளிகளுக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டுவதில் இயேசு கடவுளின் செயலை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றார் என்பதை எதிர்ப்பாளர்கள் கண்டுணர மறுத்தனர். இவர்கள் முழுநம்பிக்கையோடு கேட்காமல், விண்ணக அடையாளங்களைத் தேடுகின்றார்கள். கடவுளரசின் வருகைக்காக செபிக்காமல், சாத்தானின் ஆட்சியில் இணைத்திருப்பதாக இயேசுவை குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகின்றார்கள். தங்கள் பாவங்களுக்கு மன்னிப்புக் கேட்காமல், தீயோனின் தூண்டுதலால் இயேசு பாவம் செய்கின்றார் என்று பழிசுமத்துகின்றார்கள். சோதனையிலிருந்து விடுவிக்க செபிப்பதற்குப் பதிலாக, இயேசுவை சோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்தினார்கள். நாம் இயேசுவின் அருகில் இருந்து அவருடைய இறையாட்சியை கட்டி எழுப்புகின்றோமா? அல்லது மெசியாவான இயேசுவை அறிந்து கொள்ளாத, கண்டுணாராத, பறைசாற்றாத எதிர்ப்பாளர்கள் பக்கமா?
