*Seeing is believing *
The Gospel tells of the experience of the first “witness” of resurrection. Each of the three disciples have something to do with their vision. First comes Mary Magdalene, who is shocked to discover that the stone has been rolled from the entrance. She imagines that someone – Roman soldiers, religious officials, grave robbers – must have rolled back the stone and carried of his corpse. Then comes Peter, even though he comes late, was allowed to enter the tomb respectfully. He saw the linen wrappings lying on one side and the cloth that covered Jesus head rolled up by itself in another place. Lastly comes the beloved disciple, who was energetic to reach fast and first. He waited to go into the tomb and “he saw and believed”. What was proclaimed to them, what they had read and heard in the Scriptures, they experience now, yet they did not understand, because they have difference in their perception. Here, seeing means much more than physical sight. In truly seeing, the beloved disciple, was led to believe. While all were enthusiastic about their personal experience, the beloved disciple alone sees the evidence and comes to believe in the resurrection.
உயிர்த்தெழுதலின் முதற் சாட்சி அனுபவத்தை நற்செய்தி எடுத்துக் கூறுகின்றது. மூன்று சீடர்களும் தங்களுடைய தனிப்பட்ட அனுபவங்களை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றனர். முதலாவதாக வருபவர் மரிய மதலேனாள். இவர் கல்லறையின் நுழைவாயிலில் இருந்த கல் புரட்டியிருப்பதைக் கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தார். உரோமானிய வீரர்கள், மத அதிகாரிகள், கல்லறை திருடர்கள் – இவர்களில் ஒரு கூட்டம் கல்லை புரட்டிப்போட்டு அவரது உடலை எடுத்துச் சென்றிருக்கலாம் என்று அவர் கற்பனை செய்கின்றார். அடுத்தவர் பேதுரு, இச்செய்தியைக் கேட்டதும் ஓடிவருகின்றார். மூவரின் ஓட்டத்தில் கடைசியாக வந்தாலும் மரியாதையின் நிமித்தம் முதலாவதாக அவரைக் கல்லறைக்குள் சென்று பார்க்க அனுமதிக்கின்றனர். ஒரு புறம் துணிகளும் மற்றொரு இடத்தில் தலையில் மூடியிருந்த துணி சுருட்டியும் இருந்ததைக் கண்டார். இறுதியாக, அன்புச் சீடர் வருகிறார். அவர் கல்லறைக்கு எல்லோர் முன்பாகவும் சென்று காத்திருக்கிறார். பின்பு கண்டதை நம்பினார். இம்மூவருக்கும் என்ன அறிவிக்கப்பட்டதோ, மறைநூலிலிருந்து என்ன வாசித்தார்களோ, கேள்விப்பட்டார்களோ அதையே அவர்கள் அனுபவித்தார்கள்; ஆனால் அவற்றைப் புரிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை. காரணம் அவர்களுடைய பார்வை வேறுபட்டதாக இருந்தது. இங்கு பார்ப்பது என்பது உடலின் பார்வை மட்டுமல்ல. ஆழமாய் கண்ட அன்புச் சீடர் உடனே நம்பினார். மூவரும் தங்களின் சொந்த அனுபவங்களைப் பற்றி ஆர்வமாய் இருந்தாலும், அன்புச் சீடர் மட்டுமே ஆதாரங்களைக் கண்டறிந்து உயிர்த்தெழுதலை நம்புகின்றார்.
