*Jesus shares Spirit without measure*
Jesus is the real evidence and proof to the world, that He is the Son of God who accomplished the Will of His Father. The truth that “the Father loves the Son and has placed all things in his hands” is the foundation upon which the Gospel of John is constructed. Because of his intimacy with the Father, Jesus speaks the words of God. He is the mouth of God in the world, speaking God’s eternal truths in ways we can understand. For the Jews, God gave only a certain portion of His Spirit to the prophets, but Jesus is the one on whom the Spirit has come to rest in all its fullness. Because of this boundless richness, he is the one who “gives the Spirit without measure” and shares the “eternal life” in abundance forever. The Spirit now is given to those who obey God. Jesus places a choice before the disciples either to believe or reject, similar to the Lord’s choice for the Israelites: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life.” Those who believe and accept will be transformed by His Spirit.
இயேசுவே கடவுளுடைய மகன் என்பதை இவ்வுலகிற்கு சான்றாகவும் உண்மைக்கு ஆதாரமாகவும் வெளிப்படுத்த தம் தந்தையின் திருவுளைத்தை நிறைவேற்றினார். “தந்தை தம் மகனை அன்பு கூர்ந்து அனைத்தையும் அவர் கையில் ஒப்படைத்துள்ளார்” என்ற அடிப்படை உண்மையை யோவான் நற்செய்தி கட்டியெழுப்புகின்றது. தந்தையிடம் நெருங்கிய உறவு கொண்டதால் இயேசு கடவுளின் வார்த்தைகளையே பேசுகின்றார். இவ்வுலகிற்கு அவரே கடவுளின் வார்த்தையாக இருந்து நாம் புரிந்து கொள்ளும் வழிகளில் கடவுளின் நிலையான உண்மைகளை எடுத்துரைக்கின்றார். யூதர்களைப் பொருத்தமட்டில் கடவுள் தம் ஆவியின் ஒரு பகுதியை மட்டும் இறைவாக்கினர்களுக்கு கொடுத்தார் என்று எண்ணினர். ஆனால், இயேசு ஒருவரில் மட்டுமே ஆவியின் முழுமை தங்கியது. இந்த எல்லையற்ற வளமையில் இயேசு “ஆவிக்குரிய கொடைகளை அளவின்றிக் கொடுக்கிறார்” என்றும் மற்றும் “நித்திய வாழ்வின்” மிகுதியை என்றென்றும் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார் என்றும் அறிகிறோம். எனவே, கடவுளுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிகிறவர்களுக்கு ஆவியானவர் கொடுக்கப்படுகிறார். கடவுள் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்கு அளித்த “நான் வாழ்வையும் சாவையும், ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் சாபத்தையும் உங்கள் முன்பாக வைத்தேன். எனவே வாழ்வை தேர்ந்தெடு” என்ற தெரிவைப் போன்று, இயேசுவும் தங்கள் சீடர்கள் நம்பிக்கையுடன் அவரை ஏற்கவும் அல்லது மறுக்கவும் வேண்டிய தெரிவினை முன் வைக்கின்றார். இதில் யாரெல்லாம் நம்பிக்கையுடன் ஏற்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் இயேசுவின் ஆவியால் உருமாற்றம் அடைவார்கள்.
