*Multiplication is Eucharist *
Luke rereads the multiplication of the loaves in view of the Eucharist. He uses to make it clear to the Christians the meaning of the gesture of breaking the bread. In the first verse, the liturgy of the Eucharist begins with the gesture of the celebrant who receives the community, welcomes, wishes peace and announces the kingdom of God. The hour when Jesus distributes his bread is when the day was drawing to a close, which parallels Emmaus experience that takes place when the day is almost over (Lk 24,29). The deserted place recalls the journey of the people of Israel to freedom and being fed with manna. The community that celebrates the Eucharist are exodus travelers who have set out to listen to the Master. Like Israel, they entered the wilderness from all walks of life, and they walked in to freedom. Jesus Word is a bread that miraculously multiples and becomes sacramental act (Lk 9,16; 22,19). These gestures are re-enacted by the celebrant’s in the Eucharist. An unstoppable process of sharing is triggered and the twelves baskets of leftover remain. Thus, the Eucharistic celebration becomes a concrete commitment involving all in the community so that the material bread multiplies, in a way that there is enough for all and there are leftovers. The more people feed themselves of the bread of the Word of Christ and of the Eucharist, the more the bread distributed to the hungry multiplies.
அப்பம் பலுகுதலை லூக்கா நற்செய்தியாளர் நற்கருணையின் பார்வையில் மீண்டும் படிப்பிக்கிறார். இச்செயல் வழியாக அவர் உடைபடும் அப்பத்தின் உள்ளார்ந்த அர்த்தத்தை கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு தெளிவுபடுத்த விரும்புகிறார். முதல் வசனமே, நற்கருணை வழிபாட்டு முறையில் குழுமத்தை வரவேற்று, அமைதியின் வாழ்த்தை பரிமாறி, இறையாட்சியினை அறிவிக்கும் அடையாளங்களோடு தொடங்குவது போல் ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. இயேசு அப்பத்தை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் நேரம் மாலை நெருங்கி வரும் வேளையாகும். இது எம்மாவு அனுபவம் நடைபெறும் மாலை வேளையோடு ஒத்திருக்கிறது. பாலை நிலம் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் சுதந்திரத்திற்காக மேற்கொண்ட பாலைவன பயணத்தையும் மன்னாவால் நிறைவாக்கப்பட்டதையும் நினைவுபடுத்துகிறது. இங்கு நற்கருணை கொண்டாடிய குழுமம் ஆண்டவரின் வார்த்தையை கேட்க வந்த பயணிகள். இஸ்ரயேலர்களைப் போலவே இவர்களும் எல்லா தரப்பிலிருந்தும் பாலைவனத்திற்குள் நுழைந்து, சுதந்திரத்திற்காய் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டவர்கள். இயேசுவினுடைய வல்லமையான வார்த்தை அப்பத்தைப் பலுகச் செய்தது, அருளடையாளச் செயலாகவும் மாற்றியது. இச்செயல்கள் நற்கருணை கொண்டாட்டத்தில் மீண்டும் நினைவுக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறது. இதனால் தடுத்து நிறுத்த முடியாத அளவிற்க்கு பகிர்வுச் செயல்கள் தூண்டப்படுகின்றன, மற்றும் பன்னிரண்டு கூடைகள் மிகுதியாகின்றன. இவ்வாறு நற்கருணை கொண்டாட்டம் குழுமத்தில் உள்ள பல தரப்பினரையும் உள்ளடக்கிய ஒரு உறுதியான அர்ப்பணத்தினை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. இதனால் அப்பம் பலுகிப் பெருகும், அனைவருக்கும் போதுமானதும் மீதமுள்ளதாகவும் அமையும். கிறிஸ்துவின் வார்த்தையையும் நற்கருணையையும் அதிகமான மக்கள் அப்பமாய் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் பொழுது, பசித்திருக்கும் எண்ணற்ற மக்களுக்கு இந்த அப்பம் நிறைவளிக்கும் மற்றும் பலுகிப்பெருகும்.
