Power of sincere words
The gospel narration today brings out the power of Jesus’ words which is supported by the effectiveness of his actions. The scene depicts Jesus as an exorcist, calling an “unclean demon” to come out of a man. Through his preaching, exorcisms and healing Jesus makes God’s kingdom real among the people and it was possible because he was completely filled with the power and authority of the Spirit. To speak with authority is to speak with sincerity. People were able to feel the authority in Jesus’ teaching because he proclaimed God’s message with sincerity. Words that come from the personal interests and private agenda of the person will neither bear fruit nor benefit others. However, Jesus’ sincere command freed this man from bondage of sin and evil influences. He words of power restored the possessed man to his original purity, innocence and wholeness.
இன்றைய நற்செய்தி வர்ணனை இயேசுவினுடைய வார்த்தைகளின் வல்லமையை வெளிக்கொணர்கிறது. மேலும் இதன் பலனை அவருடைய செயல்கள் ஆதரிக்கின்றன. தீய ஆவியை ஒரு மனிதரிடமிருந்து வெளிக்கொணர்ந்த இக்காட்சி இயேசுவை ஒரு பேய் ஓட்டுபவராக சித்தரிக்கின்றது. தனது போதனை, பேயோட்டுதல் மற்றும் குணப்படுத்துதல் ஆகிய செயல்களின் வழியே இறையாட்சி உண்மையானது என்று மக்களிடையே நிலைநாட்டுகின்றார் இயேசு. இது சாத்தியப்படுவதற்கான காரணம் இவரில் ஆவியின் வல்லமையும் அதிகாரமும் முழுமையாக நிறைந்திருந்ததால். அதிகாரத்துடன் பேசுவது என்பது நேர்மையுடன் பேசுவதாகும். இயேசுவின் போதனையில் அதிகாரத்தை மக்கள் உணர முடிந்தது, காரணம் அவர் இறைச்செய்தியை நேர்மையுடன் போதித்தார். சுயநலம் மற்றும் மறைமுக நோக்கத்துடன் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படும் வார்த்தைகள் மற்றவர்களுக்கு நன்மை தராது அல்லது பயனளிக்காது. இருப்பினும் இயேசுவின் நேர்மையான கட்டளை இம்மனிதனை அவருடைய பாவத்தின் அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்தும் தீய தாக்கங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுவித்தது. இயேசுவின் வல்லமையான வார்த்தைகள் தீய ஆவியால் கட்டுண்ட மனிதரை அவரின் முந்தைய தூயவாழ்வு, குற்றமற்றதன்மை மற்றும் முழுமைக்கு மீட்டெடுத்தது.
