GOSPEL READING: JOHN 21:1-14
The disciples are as a group. All of them are of the same mind as that of Peter. The scene seems to present a disappointed group wanting to go back to their previous way of life. All what had taken place during the public ministry of Jesus and what they have heard from Jesus and seen are all forgotten. They want to get back to their normal rhythm of life.
Jesus takes the initiative again. He does not let go his followers. He had chosen them (he had allowed them to follow him); he had formed them; he had revealed everything from the Father and he cannot let go. He takes the initiative to make them realize their vocation and mission.

சீடர்கள் ஒரு குழுமமாக, ஒரு மனத்தோராய் மீண்டும் தமது பழைய தொழிலுக்கு செல்கிறார்கள். இயேசு போதித்த உண்மைகள் செய்த அரும்அடையாளங்கள் எல்லாம் மறந்துவிட்டனவா? இயேசு மீண்டும் முன்வருகிறார். இயேசு மீண்டும் முதல் அடி எடுத்துவைக்கிறார். சீடர்கள் தங்களின் அழைப்பையும் பணியையும் உணர வைக்கிறார் இயேசு.
