Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 21:29-33

In nature we find a chain of causes and effects. Similarly in the kingdom of heaven there will be a consequence of one event upon another. When a nation is filling up with iniquity then we may conclude that their ruin is near. And when the ruin of the persecuting powers are near then we may infer that the kingdom of God is at hand.

These are not doubtful events or something that will happen in the far distance. All these things are sure to happen and they are very near. The destruction of the Jewish nation was near historically (This generation shall not pass away till all these are fulfilled). Heaven and earth which are certainties will pass away but the word of God shall certainly take place. (1 Sam 3:19).

இயற்கையில் எல்லா நிகழ்வுகளும் மற்றொன்றுக்கு காரணமாயிருக்கின்றன. இறையாட்சியிலும் அதுபோலவே. சந்தேகமில்லாமல் இவையனைத்தும் நிகழும் (நிகழ்ந்தன). இறைவார்த்தையும் கண்டிப்பாக நிகழும்.

GOSPEL READING: LUKE 21: 20-28

Jesus is talking about the destruction of Jerusalem. It is a political situation; natural situation. Jerusalem gets destroyed because of the Roman invasion. Natural happening are a constant reminder to the people about the impending final end. Every natural end should not be talked about as the final end but it is a reminder.

Final end will be the upsetting of the whole universe. The whole of creation will go through a change and how it will be is not known to the people. And the time of its happening is also not known to anyone. However such an end will be accompanied by the coming of the Son of Man. It will not a destruction but rather it will be a new creation (stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand).

அழிவுகள்> மறைவுகள் உலக நிகழ்வுகள்> உலக நியதியும் கூட. இதை உலக முடிவாக கருதிவிடக்கூடாது. உலக அழிவு என்பது வேறு. அதைப்பற்றி யாருக்கும் தெரியாது யாரும் விளக்கம் கொடுக்க முடியாது. அது மானிட மகனின் வருகையே.
