Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: MARK 7:1-13

You disregard God’s commandment but cling to human tradition.

In every religion there were principles, dogmas, pious practices and rules. Principles like love of the neighbour, respect for life were all God given and there were true for anyone; at anytime; and anywhere. They were almost eternal. But there were also rules like cleaning the utensils which were manmade rules for religion.

Pharisees were so much worried about keeping the rules that were made by men and they were ready even to neglect the principles of God. Love and care of the parents was God given through Moses. Pharisees were ready to forgo that for the sake of offering which was made by man.

கோட்பாடுகள், ஒழுங்குகள், சட்டங்கள் என்று பல உள்ளன. இறைவன் தந்த கொள்கைகள் எக்காலத்திலும், எவ்விடத்திலும், எல்லாருக்கும் பொருந்தும். மனிதன் உருவாக்கும் ஒழுங்குகள் காலத்திற்கு உட்பட்டவைகள். மனிதன். முதன் முதலில் கடவுளுக்கும் கடவுள் சார்ந்தவைகளுக்கும் உட்பட்டவன்.

GOSPEL READING: MARK 6:53-56

begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.

The healing ministry of Jesus received many people. Everyone from all over brought in people of all types of illnesses. The crowd was so great that there was not place for the people to go near Jesus. Jesus touched and healed many people. He asked them to have faith in God and their faith healed.

The healing power was not only in Jesus but also in the surrounding of Jesus. People who approached him and touched his clock were also healed. The healing power was in the clothes that he was wearing. Healing power was going out of him and it was from the whole person of Jesus and the surrounding.

அவருடைய மேலுடையின் ஓரத்தையாவது அவர்கள் தொட அனுமதிக்குமாறு அவரை வேண்டினார்கள்.

இயேசுவின் குணமளிக்கும் வல்லமை மக்களை அவர் பக்கம் கொண்டுவந்தது. மக்கள் கூட்டம் கூட்டமாக அவரிடம் வந்தார்கள். குணமளிக்கும் வல்லமை அவரில் மட்டுமல்ல அவருடைய சுற்றுப்புறத்திலும் இருந்தது. அவருடைய உடையிலும் இருந்தது.
