Breaking the Word

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 20: 1-16

Jesus has revealed many truths about the kingdom. He has said how it would be; and how it would work its way through; and what type of people would enter in etc. Now through the present parable he is trying to say that the entry is not controlled even by time. Nothing on earth or earth-related things like space, time etc could control the kingdom.

The kingdom is purely God’s activity and he is the one who has complete control over the kingdom. He can let in anyone and at anytime. Kingdom and kingdom activities reveal only God’s goodness. Human ways and means have no control over the kingdom.

விண்ணரசு> விண்ணரசு சார்ந்த செயல்கள் அனைத்தும் இறைவன் கையில் உள்ளது. மனித எண்ணங்கள் செயல்கள் விண்ணரசை ஆட்கொள்ள முடியாது. விண்ணரசில் யாரை எப்பொழுது அனுமதிப்பது என்பது இறைவன் கையில்தான் உள்ளது. விண்ணரசு இறைவனின் நன்மை குணத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.

GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 19: 23-30

Jesus’ teaching about the kingdom and those who would enter the kingdom shocked the disciples and raised a question in their mind which they expressed openly to Jesus. The disciples were also thinking that the kingdom is a human reality and that man could achieve it through human endeavour.

Kingdom and kingdom related persons and activities are all God related and they are not human related. Kingdom and its activities are God’s gift and entry into the kingdom is possible only if god allows it. Human efforts cannot achieve it. Human effort is only creating space for God to act that is by letting go everything and making space for God.

விண்ணரசு> விண்ணரசு சார்ந்த பணிகள் அனைத்தும் இறைவனை சார்ந்தது. மனித முயற்சிகளால் அடையக்கூடிய ஒன்று அல்ல. மனிதன் செய்யக்கூடியது ஒன்றுதான். தன்னிடம் உள்ள அனைத்தையும் விட்டுவிட்டு இறைவன் தரும் கொடைக்காக காத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
