GOSPEL READING: MATTHEW 22: 1-14
The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.

Kingdom is a place of celebration. Interesting Jesus compares it with a wedding celebration. He could have compared it with a religious celebration or Passover festival celebration etc. Probably in a religious celebration all (people of other religion) may not be able to participate equally likely. In a wedding festival all the invitees (they may belong to any religion or social group etc) take pare equally because they are invited. Invitation makes them all equal.
It is a celebration and it is a wedding celebration and hence all should be in wedding dress. Wedding dress is the only the sign of belonging to the celebration. Jesus does not speak of the gifts etc as part of the celebration. He speaks only of wedding dress and that is the mark of celebration.

விண்ணரசை ஒரு திருமணக் கொண்டாட்டத்திற்கு இயேசு ஒப்பிடுகிறார். திருமணக்கொண்டாட்டத்தில் அழைக்கப்பட்ட அனைவரும் எந்தவிதவேறுபாடும் இல்லாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள் இருக்கவேண்டும். வேறுபாடுகளை அகற்றவே இயேசு திருமண ஆடை இல்லாதவனை ஒரு வேறுபாடாக கருதுகிறார் போலும்.
