GOSPEL READING: LUKE 12:1-7
Beware of the leaven — that is, the hypocrisy — of the Pharisees.

Hypocrisy is a practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess. There are different types of hypocrites. There is a type of hypocrite who acts as if he is strong in his spirituality and just make himself look good. There is another type who demands others to do things while he himself does not do. Yet another type prevents others from following even Jesus but follows his pretence. Still there is another type of hypocrite who is preoccupied about his outer behaviour rather than what is going on in his soul.
Jesus says that everything in the world is under the control and care of God and nothing happens without the knowledge of God. Every pretence will be made known to public. Even the words said in secrecy will be made known to all. Pretender thinks that he is in control of all his actions and words. Point of fact is that God is in control the pretender as well.

மனிதர்களுடைய வெளிவேடங்கள் பல வகைகளில் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. ஒரு சிலர் தாங்கள் ஆன்மீகத்தில் சிறந்தவர்கள் என்று வெளியில் காட்டிக்கொள்கிறார்கள். வேறு சிலர் மற்றவர்கள் தங்களை பின்பற்றவேண்டும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள். இன்னும் சிலர் இயேசுவைக்கூட மறக்கடித்து தங்களை முன்வைகிறார்கள். இன்னும் வேறு சிலர் தங்கள் வெளி செயல்களில் கவனம் செலுத்துகிறார்கள் ஆனால் ஆன்மாவை மறந்துவிடுகிறார்கள்.
